IPAC Alberta x AmCham CUSMA
March 10, 2026 (for IPAC Members Only)
IPAC Alberta is partnering with the American Canadian Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Western Canada Chapter to host a Coffee With AmCham event, featuring an in-depth discussion on the Canada United States Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) on Tuesday March 10, 2026.
As you may know, CUSMA will reach a pivotal milestone in 2026, when Canada, the United States, and Mexico undertake a mandatory joint review by July 1. This process will determine whether the agreement is renewed for another 16 years or placed on a path toward termination within the following decade.
Given that CUSMA underpins more than $1.9 trillion in largely duty-free North American trade, the outcome of the 2026 review carries significant economic implications. Many experts anticipate a challenging negotiation cycle. During this session, we will explore the potential scenarios that may emerge from the review and examine the possible consequences for businesses operating across North America.

Policy Forum on Classroom Complexity
April 17, 2025
8:30 AM to 2:00 PM
#600-9990 Jasper Ave., Edmonton
(The World Trade Centre Building)
On April 17, IPAC Alberta is excited to partner with the United Way of Alberta Capital Region in hosting an in-person policy forum on the topic of supporting student success.
Finishing high school leads to better health, social, and economic outcomes - and these outcomes improve the longer a person stays in school after Grade 12. It is critical to find ways of keeping everyone at the table until graduation, especially those with the most to gain. While the mission to reach all students was never easy or simple, trends in recent years have brought school systems across Canada to a crisis point. The need to find effective and sustainable ways of supporting every student to cross the goal line have never been greater. New ideas and innovation are essential for success.
The forum will include presentations, networking opportunities and facilitated discussions. Presentations are as follows:
-
Dr. Richard Lewanchzuk on designing systems to work better for complex populations
-
Speakers from REACH Edmonton and All in for Youth on made-in-Alberta approaches that improve outcomes for youth
-
A presentation about how to support teachers to thrive in a context of complexity.
